Torrevieja will join many municipalities across Spain this Saturday evening in turning off its lights to commemorate the “Earth Hour”, which is part of the international movement to deal with climate change.

Environment councillor, Fanny Serrano, said it would be the second year that the council was
getting involved, and the slogan this year was “Planet First. Let Nobody Stop You”.

Torrevieja’s Town Hall lighting will be switched off between 8.30 and 9.30 pm, along with those in the adjoining Church of the Immaculate Conception, and the Virgen del Carmen Cultural Centre
