Large Sludge Recycling Plant in the Province to Be Created in Pilar de la Horadada
World Water Day was commemorated this week at the Pilar de la Horadada water purification plant with a visit by Spain’s environment minister, Elena Cebrián. Accompanied by Pilar Mayor, Ignacio Ramos, she was given a tour of the facilities, which will be expanded further to create the largest sludge recycling plant in Alicante Province.

Accompanied by Pilar Mayor, Ignacio Ramos, she was given a tour of the facilities, which will be expanded further to create the largest sludge recycling plant in Alicante Province.
A new pumping station at Pilar is also going to be created to boost the current plant at Los Caballos in Orihuela, which will specifically improve purification and sanitation for the Orihuela Costa area during the busy summer season.
