Dolores Police take to Horses

Dolores has become the first municipality in Alicante Province to have a horse unit as part of the local police force, with four officers trained up to ride the two animals.

They will be used to patrol major events, as well as helping to cut down on robberies on local farms, especially during harvest seasons.

The new horse unit will make its official debut at May’s popular fiesta, la Vuelta al Carro.
