Guardamar Looks Set to Stink Concerns

The opposition Partido Popular group on Rojales council say that plans for a new waste disposal area in Guardamar could cause a stink for local residents.

Alberto Ros of the PP claims that the proposed site, which is situated in El Pallaret in Guardamar, will bring an odious smell to Rojales if the wind blows in a certain direction. He’s also worried about the potential stream of big garbage trucks rumbling through the municipality.

Ros has asked for details on what route the lorries would take, and whether new roads would be needed. He has accused the PSOE mayor, Antonio Pérez, of staying silent on the matter.
