Passenger Numbers Using Local Airports Rose Almost 5% in March from 2016
Air travel numbers are continuing to rise in Spain with the March national figures standing at just over 17 million passengers, an increase of four and a half percent on the same month last year. 907 thousand people used Alicante-Elche airport last month, a yearly rise of eight point four percent, whilst 53 thousand passengers
Air travel numbers are continuing to rise in Spain with the March national figures standing at just over 17 million passengers, an increase of four and a half percent on the same month last year.
907 thousand people used Alicante-Elche airport last month, a yearly rise of eight point four percent, whilst 53 thousand passengers used San Javier, an increase of nearly four percent, helped by additional services using the facility in the Mar Menor area.
The figures are interesting for both airports as Easter fell in March last year, and the high season schedule therefore started earlier, indicating that this April’s figures will show a massive annual rise.
