Drunk Driver Kills 10 Month Old Son

On Thursday night in the Toledo town of Gerindote, a young mother killed her 10-month-old baby and injured her 7-year-old son, by, for reasons as yet unknown, choosing to get behind the wheel of her car whilst under the influence of alcohol.

The incident occurred at around dawn when the woman drove her car, without lights, along a road in the opposite direction than was allowed. After a short time, the vehicle collided with a lamppost.

Although the vehicle had a child seat fitted for the baby, the child was not strapped in and was killed in the impact. The second child was wearing a seatbelt and suffered minor injuries.

The mother tested positive for alcohol and was arrested. She was allowed to attend the funeral before being further detained.
