Collision with Baggage Truck Delays Rome Flight
Some 153 passengers heading to Rome from Alicante met with more than 6 hours delay, when their aircraft had a low-speed collision with a baggage truck.
The Vueling aircraft wasn´t apparently damaged in the incident but protocol demanded that it was taken out of service for examination. Passengers originally due to fly on the 11:30 departure had to wait for a replacement plane, which was set to leave Alicante at 17:40.
There were 22 passengers on board who had onward connections, which Vueling were dealing with as a priority.
