Phone Repair Worker Charged with Installing Spy Software
An employee of a mobile phone centre in Elche has been arrested accused of having installed a spy camera in a mobile client without the consent of the owner.
According to the National Police, the complainant left his mobile phone for repair and, having collected the device, noted that the terminal was hot and the battery drained faster than normal.
Upon close inspection, the device had been recording videos by means of a spy application installed on it, potentially capable of being accessed by the installer.
The National Police identified the 27-year-old worker allegedly responsible for the installation and subsequently arrested them for an alleged crime against the privacy of individuals.
