Manhunt Launched after Mother Stabbed to Death in Elche
The National Police are looking for a man who has gone missing, suspected of killing his mother in the Alicante town of Elche.
The 69-year-old woman was found in her Elche home shortly before midnight on Wednesday night by her daughter, having apparently suffered fatal stab wounds.
The son of the victim was suspected as being the perpetrator of the crime from the outset, and so the police launched an immediate hunt to find him, although have so far been unsuccessful.
The investigation remains open however, and investigators are yet to ascertain the possible motive and circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
