The events took place around midnight yesterday during the Hogueras fiesta, when the man, taking advantage of the fact that the city is celebrating the parties, told the child to come with him to accompany him to a private fire being held by some relatives.

According to the police, the man is a regular customer of the business run by the parents of the child, and during the journey changed the initial motive given to the victim and went on to tell the child that he was going to take her home to play with his kids.

However, the girl suspected the man’s intentions and ran away when he wasn´t looking, running to a nearby celebration room where she met several people.

She told them what was happening but, even so, the man continued his efforts and claimed that he was trying to protect the girl and he was her uncle, and that the little girl had to go with him because he was going to take her to her parents.

Following the refusal of the people of the party to believe the man, he left. Twelve hours later he was arrested as an alleged perpetrator of a crime of illegal detention, according to the police.
