La Mata Natural Park Will Host Concert by Local String Quartet Tomorrow Evening

The town hall of Torrevieja has organised a summer evening concert that will take place on Saturday in the beautiful setting of the La Pinada recreational area, which is located within the Lagunas de Torrevieja-La Mata Natural Park.

A string quartet made up of two violinists, a viola player and a cellist from the Torrevieja Symphonic Orchestra (OST) will perform a number of classical music pieces by composers such as Bach, Handel and Mozart, but they also have a repertoire of more modern compositions planned for the night as well.

The public has been invited to spend “a magical evening listening to live music in a natural and unique open space” with them.

Because of the location of the concert and its protected area category, the audience has warned that there are seating restrictions. There will only be 100 chairs set out, however, as the concert is located in the picnic area of the La Mata Park, there will be other places to sit and listen, or you can even bring your own towel or blanket!

Anyone wishing to attend this event should park in the car parking area of the La Mata cemetery and walk to the concert area from there.

It is also recommended to spray yourself with mosquito repellent before leaving home.
