The overall aim of the campaign was to transform habits, practices, standards and policies around the world to dramatically reduce marine litter and the damage it causes.

Within the framework of this Campaign CleanSeas, the Mediterranean countries have decided to launch the Week of awareness of cleanliness of the Mediterranean, encouraging the municipalities to carry out the same this week, with different types of activities on the beach.

As part of the campaign, in a collaboration between the Natural Park of Salinas de Santa Pola, the Department of Beaches of Santa Pola and Cruz Roja, a day of awareness and collection of plastics from the sea will take place on Saturday, July 7.

The meeting place will be a tent that will be installed in Playa del Tamarit (near the Salt Wharf), for the activity that will take place from 09:30 in the morning until 12:30.
