Jet2 Expand Manchester Flights – Check your terminal from 2019
Following considerable success on some of their Spanish routes this summer, Jet2 has announced that it is expanding further at Manchester airport, with more flights planned to depart from Terminal 2 from February, 2019.
Lanzarote, Malaga, Mallorca, and Tenerife flights have been using T2 at Manchester since April 2018, rather than the older terminal 1 where Jet2 has a dedicated check-in area.
In a statement, the airline said that, “a comprehensive plan has been put in place to ensure that customers continue to experience our award-winning service.”
The following flights, which previously operated in Terminal 1, will now transfer to Terminal 2:
- Alicante (From Feb 1)
- Almeria (From May 4)
- Antalya (From Feb 16)
- Barcelona (From Feb 3)
- Bodrum (From May 2)
- Izmir (From May 1)
- Krakow (From Feb 1)
- Malta (From Feb 17)
- Menorca (From May 2)
- Naples (From Mar 3)
- Nice (From Mar 11)
- Pisa (From Mar 29)
- Pula (From May 5)
- Verona (From May 8)
Jet2 first launched operations from the northern international airport in December 2004, operating primarily from Terminal 1 to a then small market. They continued to grow offering cheap flights to Spain, and other popular destinations, with what they believed was a better level of service than competitors, growing quietly in the background until reaching their booming success this year, picking up many of the passengers who may normally have flown with Monarch Airlines.
