A derelict TV mast on the roof of the Casa de Cultura has been removed. The installation became redundant back in 2011 and has stood in disrepair ever since. It had recently become a hazard on account of the poor state and so was removed. The location also had a new security grill fitted to the main entrance.

The play area in the Reina Sofia Park has been renewed, with seesaws, game tables, a play house and climbing pyramid being installed. The play area at the El Eden urbanisation has also had new elements installed for the kids to enjoy.

The Mercadona supermarket received a 2.7 million euro facelift, with new innovations and improvements for all service levels, and technological improvements at the tourist information centre means that information is available 24 hours a day on mobile phones or tablets and is available in English.

For historical protection, wooden footpaths have been installed at the Roman archaeological remains at Moncayo, in order to protect the site further.

This week, the blue footbridge over the N-332 at the SUP-6 area is undergoing fence maintenance and changes.

These improvements are just some of the works being carried out in the municipality, and all of this is in addition to volunteers taking part in beach cleanup operations, one campaign alone seeing 600 kilograms of rubbish collected.
