Caught Red Handed in Benidorm (again)
Officers from the National Police arrested a man in Benidorm who they caught, red handed, trying to steal from a local bar.
A private security company alerted the police to the presence of a man in a business which was closed in the early hours of the morning. The guards reported that they had heard glass breaking and witnessed a man entering though a broken window of a door.
Officers immediately attended and saw the broken door, a chisel on the floor outside, and blood on the glass.
A security perimeter was established around the premises whilst the owner of the bar arrived to let the officers in, where they searched the various rooms, finding a man inside a cupboard.
The burglar offered no resistance and admitted his reason for being there, for which he was promptly arrested.
The Somalia national man is known to the police having been arrested 11 times for breaking and entry since 2017.
