Dog Abusing Denia Man Arrested
Officers from the National Police have arrested a 49-year Spanish man in Denia (Alicante) for animal abuse.
The man was arrested after two dogs were found malnourished, abandoned and wandering the streets of the town.
The dogs had to be hospitalised due to the severity of their condition, following a report from a concerned neighbour to the police.
The two dogs were found hours apart and the owner is now facing crimes of animal abuse.
The dogs continued their recovery under specialist care of the Humane Association of Denia staff while the owner has been released with charges pending after testifying at the police station.
