PRISON FOR PRANKSTER
A French teenager who videoed himself driving his car from the passenger seat along a Spanish motorway has been given a prison sentence. Eric P was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for two years on condition that he doesn´t reoffend, and was banned from driving for 12 months. The lenient sentence was said to be on account of his immediate acceptance of wrongdoing and voluntarily surrendering to the police.

HABANERAS ROAD DEATH
A 63 year old woman was killed on Saturday evening after being hit by a passenger car on la avenida de Rosa Mazón, in the area between the Habaneras Shopping Centre and Ozone. The incident occurred about half past eight when the woman was crossing the four-lane road.
Agents of the National Police have dismantled a marijuana farm located in a flat in the Murcian village of Torreaguera. Of 3000 Irish people surveyed, a third say that they have been robbed while holidaying in Spain. More than one in every 10 (12pc) said they had been pick pocketed while only slightly less (10pc) said they had items stolen from their accommodation. Another one in 10 had their bank card stolen while the same number revealed they were targeted on public transport. Only 3pc said they were mugged or had their passport or bags stolen. However nearly three out of four (72pc) reported they have never been targeted by thieves while on holidays.
