SEGUNDA START DATE DELAYED AS JUDGE ORDERS REINSTATEMENT OF REAL MURCIA

Club President Jesus Samper explaining the details to the local press

Just ten days before the start of the Football League season in Spain a judge has ordered the reinstatement of Real Murcia into the Segunda A (Spanish 2nd division) throwing the National league (LFP)into chaos.

The club were relegated by the football authorities last week when they failed to reach agreement with the tax authorities about the repayment of a 12 million euro debt with Mirandes, who finished fourth from bottom of the Liga Adelante last season, being told that they would not now be relegated.

But on Wednesday Real Murcia appealed the decision which was overturned in the Commercial Court in Madrid thereby requiring the LFP to allow the club to be readmitted into the Liga Adelante.

So with Mirandes being given the earlier reprieve, that now raises the prospect of having to play this season’s Segunda A with 23 clubs in the division instead of the usual 22 and completely re-drawing the fixture calendar just 10 days before the new season is due to kick off.

However, in a further twist, the LFP published a statement on Wednesday rejecting the orders of the court and insisting that Murcia would not play in Spain’s second tier this season.

“We repeat that under no circumstances can Real Murcia SAD be reinstated for the current season,” reads the LFP communique, which they explains such an act would be “judicially impossible,” and highlighting that the club has committed financial irregularities on more than one occasion and that the club currently owes 12 million euros (around 16 million US dollars) in unpaid taxes to the Spanish Treasury.

The LFP adds that the case Murcia has taken to court is independent from that which the LFP used to relegate the club, all of which means the coming days will almost certainly see a crossfire of accusations and counter-accusations as the kick off date gets closer without the issue being definitively resolved.

However at the weekend Mundo Deportivo reported that the LFP have said in a statement that they now respect the decision of the court and have delayed the start of the League while the situation is resolved. They have decided to push back the start date of the league and a meeting will be held today, Monday, to address the issue with the clubs, the LFP, the RFEF and the players’ association, the AFE, involved.

Today will also see the LFP consider their response to the court, with LFP President Javier Tebas to hold a Press conference at the end of the series of meetings.

The LFP have also contacted all the teams in the League to inform them of their position and said in a statement they expect developments over the next 10 days.

Murcia finished fourth in the Segunda last season, but missed out in the playoffs before their relegation was announced for financial reasons.

WORK IS NOT CHILD’S PLAY. SPOT AWARD AT THE CANNES ADVERTISING FESTIVAL

In Guatemala there are over 966,000 children working in a precarious situation. In this situation the authorities have launched an advertising campaign against child labor under the slogan “Do not wash your hands. Work is not child’s play. “

With this spot the Independent Sydney agency Colman Rasic Carrasco secured a Bronze Lion at the Cannes Advertising Festival in 2008 with a Bronze Lion under the title “Different Lives”, for the MTV Asia Exit Foundation.

By contrast, in Bolivia: Evo Morales will seek his third term after allowing children to work from ten years. Morales approves child labor that goes against the Rights of the Child, proclaimed by the United Nations.

Moreover, the NGO Anesvad comes periodically launching a campaign to recover the slave girls procuring them training and decent work, under the slogan: “Sex trafficking is a destiny marked by misery for many girls in Southeast Asia”.

Also in Morocco over 600,000 children are exploited, with the complicity of the government. Ghizlane is a slave girl who gets up at 6am. She has to prepare food for the children of the house in which she bustles, dozing in the kitchen, with a “hyphae” on the pavement and a quilt. She can only lie at midnight. And she shall be deemed satisfied not being abused sexually. Ghizlane just turned 8 years.

This slavery of children has been denounced by two American organizations: Human Rights Watch and Domestic Child, in separate reports made public. These creatures are merely payed with pottage and something to wear.

According to the Pontifical Mission Societies, the figures for the slave children are creepy and complemented by other more terrible; 14 million of AIDS orphans; 600 million of poor children in the world; 130 million do not attend school; 180 million suffer from malnutrition; 250 million suffer labor exploitation, and one million children fall into the sex trade.

“When ye do with violence the first tears spilling a child, you have already put in their spirit anger, sadness, jealousy, revenge and hypocrisy,” wrote the Spanish author Azorin.

CONSTRUCTION RECOVERY CONTINUES IN ALICANTE

A new development in La Zenia has already sold out

Albeit rather a rather tentative start, there is no doubt that the recovery in the Costa Blanca construction industry is beginning to take off.

This can be seen in virtually every statistical indicator including the improved social security figures recorded in the province in recent months.

In the first half of the year, there are 468 more employed persons (many of them self employed, in all subsectors of the construction). Alicante is now showing itself to be the most active province within the autonomous regime.

The Social Security Department say that they are experiencing increased contributions from Alicante construction workers, well above those shown in Valencia (130) and Castellón (2), where an increase of 468 contributors have been recorded in the first half of the year contrasted to the 568 contributors that were lost on the Costa Blanca during the first six months of 2013

The improvement was also confirmed last Wednesday by the Association of Professional Workers and Entrepreneurs of the Autonomous Region of Valencia (UATAE) who say that with 34,792 members their figures for Alicante show an increase of 601 personnel in construction.

What is also evident in the province is the number of seemingly derelict and abandoned building sites that are once again being worked on as scaffolding and safety netting is once again going up all along the coast.

According to information released by the Association of Surveyors (Coaata), the demand on employees from this professional group has now also returned to levels seen before the economic crisis.

With 809 sites showing activity with reforms, restoration and maintenance of homes and buildings of all kinds up to 31 May, the figure is almost back to the 2008 levels when 817 sites were being worked at.

The industry seems to be waking up in the province, as shown by the official records published by the Association of Surveyors. In the first quarter they have granted permission for 600 new homes, a figure that may rise to around 1500 by the end of the year.

These are numbers still well short of the 55,000 homes that were built in the Costa Blanca in the boom of 2004 and 2005, but they represent a clear change of pace.

A similar pace was also recorded by the ratings agency Standard & Poors in a new report released on Tuesday which predicts that house prices in Spain will climb by at least 2 percent in 2016. S&P believe that while properties in Spain have fallen by around 30 percent since the country’s economic crisis hit in 2008, the recovery is coming.

The positive outlook stems from “the faster than expected” recovery of the Spanish economy and a subsequent quicker “fall in unemployment” rates, the agency says.

“We have seen a change in trends in the Spanish property market in the last 12 months with the arrival of British and US property funds,” said Madrid-based real estate expert Eduardo Molet.

“British funds in particular are taking advantage of the offers in the Spanish property market, and they are here to stay,” he added, “with real estate near the coast and in the bigger cities rebounding much faster than elsewhere.”

NEW SOCIALIST LEADER VOWS TO GET COUNTRY BACK ON TRACK

Pedro Sanchez saluting the crowd at last week's PSOE Congress in Madrid

The new leader of the Socialist Party (PSOE) in Spain, Pedro Sanchez has promised that he will get the country back on its feet.

He made the statement in front of a packed house of over 3,000 party delegates, on the final day of the Extraordinary Congress held in Madrid last Sunday.

Until just a few months ago Sanchez, a 42 year old economist, was virtually unknown but in the recent leadership contest to replace Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba, he polled 49 percent of the votes cast by 130,000 party members putting clear distance between himself and Basque lawmaker Eduardo Madina, who finished second with 36 percent. That primary result was also ratified on Saturday at the same extraordinary congress.

During his inaugural speech, Sanchez said he was “exasperated, angry, hurt” after six years of “unprecedented” economic crisis but that he would lead the party back to power and get the crisis-hit country “back on track”.

He also vowed that he would scrap a labour law reform introduced by the ruling Popular Party that makes it cheaper and easier to fire workers.

A tall, married father of two nicknamed “El Guapo” or “The Handsome One”, Sanchez has cast himself as a fresh face for the party and would appear to be a credible challenger to the conservative Popular Party (PP) which ousted the Socialists from power in a crushing November 2011 election defeat.

With General elections due next year Sanchez has to overcome criticism of how their last government handled an economic crisis sparked by the collapse of a property boom in 2008 that has left one in four out of work.

While Sanchez’s election to the leadership of the party by a wide margin was a relief for the Socialists, who had feared a divisive, and potentially confrontational contest, political analysts said it was too soon to tell whether he can reverse the party’s fortunes.

“Pedro’s Sanchez’s election is a breath of fresh air for the Socialists. But as of now it is nothing more than that,” political analyst Carlos Elordi wrote in an opinion article published recently in a daily newspaper.

“Nothing guarantees that it will last. The Socialists’ many problems can drown him within weeks,” he said.

Sanchez has a master’s degree in politics and economics from a Belgian university. He served as a top aide to the head of a UN high representative during the war in Kosovo.

Last Monday Sanchez met with Mariano Rayoy, at the Moncloa Palace, where the country’s leader expressed the importance and his intention that the pair maintain fluid and on-going dialogue on the various issues of common interest.

FRUITS OF SOCIALISM

In view of the dramatic crisis that Spain is suffering, when one out of every five people live in unemployment, when we are in the sights of Europe, when we do not yet know how the current situation of hardship for many families will finish, the thinkers of this Government are devoted to invent tension situations that generate clashes among ordinary people.

Why after 75 years talk about the subject of the civil war to re-create hatreds between people? This topic has already been settled for many years but now this is about creating tension, by straying attention from more important issues, even if it involves bringing the Spaniards into conflict again.

Why make a law on religious freedom trying to distort roots and traditions of people who in their vast majority are and have always been catholic? It is false that there are so many Buddhists, Mormons, Adventists, etc. in Spain.

With another recent law, they emptied the content of the institution of marriage putting it on a level with the same-sex unions and facilitating the dissolution of it with the express divorce. No one thought that this is what actually generates more gender violence.

They have imposed the children and adolescents indoctrination in the official doctrine, through a subject that they called “Education for Citizenship” (in Catalonia is pure and hard pornography), but in reality is only a model to deform the youth.

On the other hand, they have eliminated religion classes and have undermined parent’s authority in children’s education, making that they can not be given them a slap to correct them. . . And there are parents who believe in it. It is ridiculous!

They have destroyed the legal protection of the most defenseless human beings, those who have not yet been born, allowing 16-years-old girls have an abortion without any obstacle and parental consent. This law is macabre.

This whole approach responds to a strategically designed plan and is put into practice after repeat many times the same ideas until catch on society little by little. In order to do this, they have used all kinds of false arguments and half-truths that the media don’t stop hammering.

They have been proposed delete honorable things that still retains the society and in particular, everything that has relation with Christian doctrine and Law of God. Due to they are atheists, they want to impose by force atheism in others and to do this they have strong persuasive forces.

BLACKPOOL LA MANGA TRIP ABORTED

Blackpool fans have been left rocked – after a pre-season trip to Spain was dramatically cancelled – with scheduled games at La Manga given the boot due to a shortage of PLAYERS!

“The manager has taken the decision to cancel the pre-season tour – we will be able to be much more productive here, than in Spain,” said chairman Karl Oyston. Seasiders new manager Jose Riga cancelled pre-season friendlies against La Liga outfit Granada CF on July 26, and against FC Cartagena on July 28.

And instead of being at the La Manga Club Football Academy the Blackpool squad and fans – due to fly to La Manga for a nine-day pre-season camp – remain in Britain. Problems arose due to Blackpool having a mere eight senior contracted players – leading to Riga postponing the Spanish trip.

“We feel our time will be better served trying to get some player deals. It wasn’t an easy decision,” said Oyston. Supporters had booked flights and accommodation in the La Manga area to watch the pre-season games – and take in a few days’ holiday.

There is discontent amongst fans and Oyston – with the club having a paltry eight senior players on their books – ahead of the 2014-15 season kicking-off next month. Oyston, set to compensate supporters who have booked flights to Spain, said: “I hope we can deal with this fairly.”

Riga and Oyston have held talks over the club’s transfer policy. And Oyston said: “We had a chat and are determined to resolve this situation.” ends

TV AD SPENDING UP 6.4% IN MAY

The “Survey of Advertising Expenditure in Spain 2014” presented by Infoadex, puts the estimated real investment recorded in the advertising market last year in 10,461.3 million euros, representing a decrease of -3.7 % of the 10,858.8 million euros that were reached in 2012.

So the market has returned to a contraction in advertising revenue in the media. However, that 3.7% is a clear slowdown in the decline in investment, compared with a fall of 9.9% in the previous year. Internet was in 2013 the only area with a positive 1.8% growing behavior.

In addition, investment in television advertising in May continued the recovery started in March, up 6.4% from the same period last year, according to the monthly report of the media agency Ymedia.

The most active advertising campaign has been released by the beer Mahou Cinco Estrellas, which has accumulated 2,091 GRPs (Gross rating points) or advertising pressure points, followed by the campaign of Jazztel phone company with 2,015 points.

Thus, the Lidl supermarket loses the top going to a third place with 1845.4 GRPs.

Telecinco chain is the leader of the month, with 15.2% of the total television audience, followed by Antena 3 with 13.8%. In contrast, TVE-1 lost 7/10 and remains at 10.4%.

The two most watched events of the month were Eurovision and the final of the Champions League. The European gala was followed by more than 5 million viewers and achieved a 35.9% share, while the final was watched by 12 million people and reached a 61.9% share.

The match between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid becomes the most watched sporting event since the final of Euro 2012 between Spain and Italy.
