11/06/2013. A dog working for the Spanish Guardia Civil was presented with the highest medal that can be given to an animal for acts of bravery. On Tuesday, at the Teatro del Bosque (Móstoles) during the celebration of the ‘4th International Conference of Police and Military Dog Handlers’, the PDSA Gold Medal (from the People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals) was presented to Ajax – a Guardia Civil dog – for his services during the detection of an explosive device.
