13/06/2013. This is the final stage of the Accelerated Nationality Plan aimed at dealing with the backlog of files that the ministry encountered when this government took office. Once they have sworn allegiance before a notary public and registered themselves with the Civil Registry, the interested parties will be informed of when they can apply for their new Spanish ID Card or Spanish passport.
The 270,000 people whose Spanish nationality applications have been accepted will be able to complete the process before a notary public for free from next week
