As one of only a small handful of radio stations still in the running to be awarded one of the new licences to broadcast, we have given a commitment that we will do everything possible to ensure that we give you the content on radio that you want.

Therefore, we have devised a series of questionnaires that we hope you will spend a few minutes to fill in, so we can get an idea as to what you want, what you expect and what you would rather not listen to on radio. However, this campaign is not about any particular radio station, presenter, DJ or musical genre, this is about us getting a feel of your opinions on radio in general, whether you are in Spain or elsewhere, and whether you listen to the radio or not.

In the first one, the questions are in sections that will give us an overview of who you are and what you do, as well as your musical tastes and how you listen to music or the radio. We also ask you some direct questions, such as which radio station is your favourite right now and why, because, even though that station might not be around after too long, the fact you like it can tell us the sort of style of radio that works for you.

There is no question that once the licenses are issued, most of the ex-pat stations, and others too, will be closed down, which is why we want to make sure that we are prepared to serve you long beyond that time, by giving you the radio you want, for now and the future.

We ask you pay a little attention to the questions, just to make sure you understand what we are asking. For example, if there is a grading from 1 to 10, then the higher the number you tick, the greater the score you give it, so, if you classical is your favourite type of music, tick the box under “10”, whereas if you really, really don´t like country, for example, tick the box under “1”.

Other than the grading system, the rest of the questions are either a tick for a choice, or an opinion, or a one or two word answer. Completing the form is important to us so that we can compare answers, but if you want to add more information, please feel free to do, on a separate piece of paper.

Once completed, add your contact details, because at the end of the campaign in autumn, we will be holding a prize drawer, selecting a number of lucky winners for some great prizes. You might also be lucky enough to be pulled out of the hat to win one of our exclusive Exite Radio mugs, which we will give away each week. But, if you wish to remain anonymous, that´s okay too, just complete the details and leave your name and address off the form. We don´t mind, it is the information that´s important to us. The questionnaire is also available to download and print from the Exite Radio website, www.exiteradio.com/questions.

Finally, you can drop your completed forms into The Leader offices in La Zenia, where the data will be processed during the next couple of months, and you really can do your bit to change the way radio is delivered… To you, FOR YOU.
