The State Tax Office (Spanish acronym: AEAT) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation signed an agreement on Tuesday under which Spanish consular offices abroad may process the telematic allocation of tax ID numbers (Spanish acronym: NIF) to non-resident citizens and companies in Spain that apply for it.
