25/10/2013. “Spain is a global leader in the storage and therapeutic use of umbilical cord blood” according to digital newsletter Nº 6 of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), the body that encompasses all accreditation entities worldwide and of which the Spanish CAT Foundation forms part. Since 2010, the CAT Foundation has been responsible in Spain for accrediting the quality and activities carried out by umbilical cord blood banks in collaboration with the Spanish National Transplant Organisation (Spanish acronym: ONT).
