Although their success through the summer was clear, the latest batch of touristic guided walks through Orihuela have exceeded all forecasts, with the first walk which was launched for this weekend oversubscribed, leaving 125 people unable to attend.
This information has been released by the councillor for tourism, Rosa Martínez, who says that a total of 153 people registered a desire to attend the “Sweet Steps” tour, visiting traditional sweet factories, including a convent where the nuns hold a vow of silence, but with only 28 places available, the councillor is now trying to create more options for those left disappointed by the success of the first day re-launch.
Other routes on this schedule will include the traditional Christmas belenes and even a guided tour of the Orihuela Costa, with more information available from the town hall.
