Investment in production amounted to 3.39 billion euros in the third quarter and the year-on-year rate has risen consistently each month. 72% corresponds to ‘new production’ or ‘greenfield investments’, mainly the financing of fixed assets. Madrid (56%), the Basque Country (20%) and Catalonia (17%) are the regions accounting for the largest percentages of foreign investment in production between July and September.
