The Spanish State museums managed under the Subdirectorate-General of State Museums of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport recorded a 4.9% increase in the number of visitors in 2013 when compared with the previous year. The total number of visitors rose from 1,837,953 in 2012 to 1,927,250 in 2013 – an increase of 89,297.
