A policeman in China has a narrow escape when he is carried on the bonnet of a speeding car which had failed to stop.
A motorist has been arrested in Shanghai for suspected drink-driving after carrying a police officer along on his car bonnet at speed before he crashed.
Video shows the driver attempting a U-turn and being challenged to stop by the traffic officer.
But he refuses and drives off with the policeman clinging on to the bonnet.
Surveillance video then shows him crash into a line of vehicles – hurling the officer through the air – before skidding along the road.
The driver was detained for criminal investigation and will face trial, police said.
