The regional environmental department has rejected the license application submitted by Torrevieja council for solid waste transfer plant on plot 252 of Polygon 2.
The reason for rejecting the application was on the basis of “not having foreseen prevention and environmental protection measures and the correction necessary in this kind of activity”.
The Los Verdes in Torrevieja have denounced the PP government team for constructing and operating industrial installations for a period of 7 years without the appropriate licenses.
The plant was part of a multimillion euro contract awarded by the PP government to multinational company ACCIONA, which has itself been considered “absolutely illegal” in another court ruling.
