Spanish Airline Vueling has announced a raft of new routes for summer 2016, including flights covering Leeds, Newcastle and Liverpool to Barcelona and Alicante to Ibiza. For the summer of 2016 the airline hope to cover over 400 routes, 150 of which will be from Barcelona, and will mean an increase of 600 jobs overall.

Spanish Airline Vueling has announced a raft of new routes for summer 2016, including flights covering Leeds, Newcastle and Liverpool to Barcelona and Alicante to Ibiza.

For the summer of 2016 the airline hope to cover over 400 routes, 150 of which will be from Barcelona, and will mean an increase of 600 jobs overall.

The airline still aim to continue to expand their routes beyond next summer, including currently investigating operating flights to places like Iran and Georgia.

Meanwhile, a Vueling flight from Seville to Menorca made an emergency landing at Alicante-Elche airport on Sunday night after the crew reported a loss of cabin pressure.

The emergency services were put on alert as the aircraft was given priority landing but the plane landed safely, without incident, the passengers later being transferred to another aircraft to continue their journey.
