A Belgian couple in their mid-seventies were found dead in a Calpe building on Friday morning, with the man apparently killing his wife, before he threw himself off the ninth floor of the apartment block.
The incident happened at around 8.45 am on Avenida de Europa, with the Guardia Civil saying that the couple split their time living between Belgium and the Costa Blanca. The woman’s body was discovered after the Guardia removed the keys from her husband’s pockets and entered their flat.
