Christmas morning shook slightly this year as a magnitude 2.4 magnitude earthquake was registered, with its epicentre at Los Montesinos.
A number of people felt the tremor and took to social media to report it just before noon on Christmas Day.
The National Geographic Institute confirmed the reports and that the earthquake occurred at 11:41 and graded the earthquake as minor.
