A newly born baby died in a Pilar de la Horadada-area house, with the parents of the 16-year-old mother and her boyfriend allegedly not knowing that she was pregnant.
The teenager’s mother and stepfather, of Estonian nationality, discovered the baby’s body in the bathroom toilet of their home on the Pinar de Campoverde urbanisation on Sunday. A possible cause of death being investigated is that the child’s umbilical cord had not been cut at the time of birth.
The Guardia Civil and Judicial Police are carrying out enquires, with no official records from the local social welfare department that the 16-year-old was pregnant.
