The Valencian government’s public works department has started a two million euro tender process for the dual carriageway conversion of a section of the CV-865 road between Elche and Santa Pola.
The 18-month project will see the upgrade on the highway between the intersection with the CV-851 at Vereda de Sendres through to the existing stretch of dual carriageway towards Santa Pola.
No timetable has yet been declared, though the process will also include the purchase of land, and the creation of a new bicycle lane.
