Over 430 thousand foreign tourists visited the Valencia region in February, a rise of 24 percent over a year, according to figures from the National Institute of Statistics.
Seventy-five percent of the visitors based themselves on the Costa Blanca, with 150 thousand tourists coming from the United Kingdom, a yearly increase of nearly 13 percent.
The second largest group came from France at over 63 thousand visitors (up by a bumper 40 percent), with visitors from the Scandinavian countries clocking in at 40 thousand (up by 41 percent).
