On monday 23rd October, 2017, local road closures will be in place in parts of Cartagena, particularly in the historic areas, in order to offer protection to thousands of cruise passengers who will be visiting the southern Spanish city.

Four ships are due to visit the area, carrying almost 7,000 passengers. As a result, local police will be trying to provide additional safety and security measures throughout the day.

Also, on Friday, Italian Air Traffic Controllers will be staging industrial action, although it is unlikely to cause problems to flights passing overhead, there may be some delays and cancellations within the country’s airport network.
