Two British fugitives, a father and son duo, have been arrested in Altea by the Guardia Civil of Alicante.
They had been on the run since January this year, after being sentenced in the UK to 32 months and 5 years in prison for fraud.
Investigations led the police to believe that the pair could be residing in Altea, carrying out a similar wealthy lifestyle that they had been used to in the UK.
After setting up a roadblock, the criminals were stopped while driving around the Altea Hills urbanisation in a luxury car with an English license plate, and subsequently arrested.
The pair will appear before the High Court, and most likely be extradited.
