A 57-year-old man, of Bulgarian nationality, has been arrested after confessing that he had allegedly just killed his sentimental partner, a 60-year-old woman, in a house in Orihuela.
The man telephoned ‘112’ to say he had killed his partner. The emergency coordination centre immediately despatched the National Police and medical support to the scene.
Upon arrival, the officers found that the woman had died, with initial indications being that she had suffered strangulation, although an autopsy will be carried out to determine the actual cause of death.
The man will be brought before the courts, likely to be remanded in custody.
