An emergency helicopter was drafted in to transfer a seriously injured burn victim to hospital after an explosion in a home in Torre de la Horadada on Tuesday.
The victim was working on reforming the home when the explosion occurred, resulting in burns to 45% of his body.
The local police and ambulance teams attended the scene but the best option was an immediate evacuation by helicopter to hospital.
