The Ministry of Health received a total of 328,800 new doses of the Modern vaccine against COVID-19 on Thursday and will begin to be distributed them among the Autonomous Communities and Cities today.

To this amount must be added the 1,241,370 new doses of the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine that arrived at the beginning of this week.

The arrival of these vaccines represents the expected increase in the second quarter of this year, which, as announced this week by the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, will be 3.5 times more doses than the first quarter; an increase contemplated in the Vaccination Strategy that will help save lives, recover the economy and social life.

In this sense, today’s vaccination report reflects that 9,811,529 doses have been administered (81.8% of those delivered), as well as that an absolute record of doses administered in a single day has been reached, with 453,682 more than Wednesday. In addition, 3 million people have been exceeded with the two doses of the vaccine, with a total of 3,020,450 people with the complete vaccination schedule (78,619 more than Wednesday.)
