Another 1.2 million vaccine doses distributed

The Ministry of Health has confirmed the distribution of more than 1.2 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine amongst the autonomous communities on Monday.

The Minister of Health, Carolina Darias, has attended the reception of the new shipment from Pfizer / BioNTech in the ‘hub’ of the ministry.

Meanwhile, the 146,000 doses of the Janssen vaccine remain in the company’s central warehouses waiting for the European Medicines Agency (EMA) to rule on its use this Tuesday after the suspension of its administration in the United States.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, 9,002,054 people, 19% of the population, have received at least one dose since the start of the vaccination campaign, and 3,328,701, 7%, are fully vaccinated.

Of the 13,703,085 doses delivered in Spain, 90% have been administered.
