During the first weekend in which it was compulsory to carry the Covid Passport to access entertainment and hospitality in the Valencia region, data from police inspections reveal only 3% of people identified between Friday and Sunday broke the rules. Or what is the same, an overwhelming majority, the remaining 97% of those inspected, did have a valid Covid passport .
These are the data provided by the summary of the special operation carried out in the three capitals of the Region -València, Alicante and Castellón. A service carried out between the local police of each city, the regional police and the National Police attached to the Valencian territory, in which 18 locals were inspected, according to the data provided by the Government Delegation.
In this sense, the police interventions identified a total of 1,784 people between the night of Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and raised 49 acts of sanction proposal related to non-compliance with the regulations on the mandatory nature of the passport, which entered into force precisely midnight on Friday. A relatively low rate -2.75% – which certifies high compliance with this provision.
On the other hand, 264 acts of infraction for not wearing the mask in situations in which the law requires were carried out. In addition, records were drawn up for drugs on 68 occasions, as well as 5 times for possession of weapons and another 18 for other reasons, summarises the Government Delegation. Five establishments were also proposed for sanction for not controlling the possession of the certificate or DNI.
