The aim has been to improve citizens’ knowledge of the Guardia Civil’s capabilities from an operational and procedural point of view.

These activities also serve to increase awareness of citizens’ concerns and adapt services to their needs.

The Guardia Civil, in its commitment to quality and constant vocation to know the concerns of citizens and interest groups, has developed during 2021 activities specially designed to improve the safety culture in which more than 3,000 people have registered.

In order to strengthen resilience and preventive capacity in the face of risks and threats that people may suffer, the Guardia Civil has carried out different actions designed to improve the culture of safety on issues and real concerns and practices of the day to day of the institution.

In a new scenario like the current one, given the situation generated by COVID-19, in which actions to promote a safety culture have had to be reoriented, accessibility through new technologies has been prioritised. For this reason, the activities of 2020 and 2021 have been configured through an environment that allows virtual remote access.

In the words of the general director María Gámez in the presentation of the 2020 activities, “in an increasingly complex, unstable and rapidly changing world, we are obliged to make a constant effort to anticipate possible uncertainties, as well as in a specialised way to the already known ones. But we cannot face this challenge alone, but we need the commitment and contribution of the whole of society, both from its personal and professional spheres “

For this reason, the program of activities that has been developed during 2021 has been specially designed towards the improvement of the safety culture in matters and real and practical concerns of our day to day, showing the orientation of the Guardia Civil towards the challenge of the 2030 Agenda.

The developed program is, in turn, fully aligned with Order PCM / 575/2021, of June 8, which publishes the Agreement of the Council of Ministers of May 25, 2021, approving the Comprehensive Plan of Culture of National Security.

This 2021 the Guardia Civil has carried out different actions, in which more than 3,000 people have been registered. Among the topics that have been addressed are:
