According to the latest official balance, offered by the Health Alerts and Emergencies Coordination Centre (consolidated data as of December 16), 13,651,239 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 116,658 the total number of deaths have been reported so far.
The figures show an increas of around 800 cases above the figure last week, as well as an additional 236 deaths from Covid in the last week.
The vaccination campaign for the second booster dose against COVID-19 has begun, adapted to the new variants. After vaccination of people over 80 and in residences, the next group will be those over 60 years of age, in addition to health and social health personnel.
