The Spanish water reserve now stands is at 51.3 percent of its capacity

The Spanish water reserve is at 51.3 percent of its total capacity. The reservoirs currently store 28,775 cubic hectometres (hm³) of water, finally increasing in the last week by 242 cubic hectometres (0.4 percent of the current total capacity of the reservoirs), with still a long way to go to make a significant difference to the drought situation.

The reservation by areas is as follows:

  • Cantábrico Oriental se encuentra 82,2%
  • Cantábrico Occidental 87,3%
  • Miño-Sil 83,5%
  • Galicia Costa 93,3%
  • Cuencas internas del País Vasco 81%
  • Duero 64,4%
  • Tajo 66,2%
  • Guadiana 34,4%
  • Tinto, Odiel y Piedras 77,7%
  • Guadalete-Barbate 30,3%
  • Guadalquivir 25,3%
  • Cuenca Mediterránea Andaluza 37,7%
  • Segura 34,1%
  • Júcar 59,7%
  • Ebro 53,1%
  • Cuencas internas de Cataluña 29,7%

Rainfall has affected the Atlantic slope and has been scarce on the Mediterranean slope. The maximum has been produced in Oviedo with 71.2 mm (71.2 l/m²).
