The trial will begin today, Tuesday, at the Provincial Court of Valencia, against a man accused of killing his sentimental partner with a shot to the head in the house where they lived, in the Valencian town of Castelló.
The jury must decide if on March 6, 2020, the defendant and the victim were at home in a playful environment and, after using drugs, went to the bedroom, where the man took advantage of the fact that the victim had sat on the bed to position himself behind her and shoot her in the head or if, in the same circumstances, the man – who did not know it was loaded, according to his defence – accidentally discharged his weapon.
In the trial it will also be determined if the man acted because, days before, his partner had expressed the intention of leaving the relationship.
