The First Section of the Provincial Court of Valencia will begin to hear evidence from today, Thursday, against a woman who faces a possible sentence of 6 years in prison for sexually abusing her son between the ages of five and fourteen by touching him “beyond those strictly necessary for the child’s hygiene”.
According to the prosecutor in his indictment, the defendant took advantage of the moments when she was with him in the family home, in the shower or in the minor’s room, to abuse him.
This is one of three cases of sexual abuse being dealt with this week, including that of a father accused of a continuous crime of sexual assault on his daughter between the ages of five and nine.
A man is also being tried for allegedly forcing his former sentimental partner, and for this he is facing a request for a sentence of 12 years in prison. In this case, the defendant and victim had a relationship that began in May 2019 and lasted approximately a year. The public prosecution maintains that, during it, the man forced the woman to have sexual relations by using force, despite the fact that she refused and asked him to stop.
The woman left the relationship on two occasions but the defendant managed to convince her to see each other again and repeated the attacks. The Public Ministry maintains that the victim had a personality disorder that made her more vulnerable to intimidation by the defendant.
