The latest figures looking at irregular immigration into Spain, once again show that the situation has reduced following a consolidation of figures for the end of June.
From the beginning of the year to June 30, 12,704 migrants have entered irregularly, 11% less than in the same period in 2022 (14,331).
Of these, 12,192 have arrived by sea, 4% less than in 2022 (12,723).
The Canary Islands concentrated 7,213 entries, 18% less than the previous year (8,853). Arrivals by sea to the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands reached 4,865, 29% more than in 2022 (3,765).
Regarding the entries by land to Ceuta and Melilla, they amount to 512, 68% less than in 2022 (1,608). Of these, 459 arrived in Ceuta (11% less than the previous year) and 53 in Melilla (95% less).
