If you’re looking to celebrate the weekend with a takeaway delivery, you might be out of luck, as a union representing Glovo distributors in Spain has called for delivery workers to strike between Friday, July 14 and Monday, July 17.
The CGT union has called this strike in support of the one that workers of Asian origin (Pakistani, Indian and Bengalis) have already wanted to start, who have done it on their own.
Through social networks, the CGT has specified that this group is the convener of the protest, while the union supports them “from outside”. The distributors of Asian origin claim to be “precarious” by Glovo and denounce that the rider law “did not take them into account” because it allows “unpublished” models of self-employed workers.
