The national average value of accumulated rainfall from the beginning of the hydrological year (October 1, 2022) until August 8 is estimated at 485 l/m 2 (around 16% less than the normal value corresponding to said period).
The accumulated quantities are below their normal values in a large part of the Peninsula and the Canary Islands, highlighting the situation in the northeast and southwest quadrants of the peninsula, areas of the Cantabrian coast, points in Cuenca and inland Valencia, and in the eastern islands of the Canary Islands, where the percentage of precipitation was below 75% with respect to the normal value.
