The national average value of accumulated precipitation from the beginning of the hydrological year (October 1, 2022) to October 24 is estimated at 70 l/m 2, which represents around 21% more than the value normal corresponding to said period (58 l/m 2).
Precipitation exceeds normal values for the period 1991-2020 in much of the eastern half of the Peninsula, the islands of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, as well as the entire central area.
However, the accumulated quantities are below their normal values in the eastern third of the Peninsula, the Cantabrian coast and parts of Andalusia.
